I'm not sure how much you've already researched about James and Mary. James' father was James Jester who married Mary Hickman in Surry County, North Carolina, Feb 4, 1817. They had seven children, the fourth was our James M Jester, born June 11, 1830, East Bend, Surry County/Yadkin County, North Carolina. They died sometime after 1860, and I've not been able to locate either of them in census files after 1860.
